Brazilian Hard Rockers of MARENNA, led by vocalist Rod Marenna, in celebration of their seventh year anniversary, have been preparing a series of commemorative news. One of which is the release of a Lyric Video on their official YouTube channel, for the track “Break My Heart Again”, taken from their latest EP “Pieces Of Tomorrow”. In this video, the band mixed high doses of emotion due to the sad lyrics and a remarkable performance, to give a true “ballad” the sound it deserves.
In the original recording of the track, MARENNA had the special participation of Alex Reck (lead guitar), Arthur Appel (bass/backing vocals) and Jonas Godoy (guitar/acoustic guitars), the latter also taking charge of production, mixing and mastering. In the video, alongside Rod Marenna, they also count on the participation of musicians Arthur Schavinski (drums), Luks Diesel (keyboard) and Bife (bass).

Rod Marenna comments: “The theme of this song is a sad and unresolved love story, with intense and emotional lyrics, striking melodies and high doses of melancholy like a good Hard Rock ballad should have. The dark tone of the video is to precisely convey the idea of this sadness in which the protagonist finds himself, more precisely between losing faith in what he believes or betting on a love doomed to fail, routine tact nowadays, where many relationships are at the mercy of the other persons expectations.”

The other big news is the re-release on CD of “My Unconditional Faith” (EP/2015) and “No Regrets” (Album/2017), originally released by the Danish record label Lions Pride Music, both achieving successful sales abroad and with short imported runs sold out in Brazil. Both works stood out in specialized press, drawing the attention of festivals and record labels and getting numerous positive reviews from around the world. Through the great partnership between the band and four other supporters (Anjo Music, Let’s Rock, Doctor Rock CD’s and Metal Mania Beer and Friends), these re-releases will contain, in addition to the original artwork, three exclusive bonus tracks on each, a must-have for lovers and collectors of good old Hard Rock/AOR!

If you think the celebrations are over, you are sadly mistaken!
In addition to all this, and the latest EP “Pieces Of Tomorrow” (2020), will be released on CD and Cassette and the band is preparing a series of extra material produced during the quarantine period and scheduled for the second half of this year .
“Pieces Of Tomorrow” (EP) presents a new phase of MARENNA, showing a more mature sound, but keeping the roots within their artistic concept, mixing their classic influences from Melodic Rock/AOR from the 80s with a sound of modern contemporary rock also in the production. The bands main influences are: Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Journey and H.E.A.T.
Alongside vocalist Rod Marenna, the bands current line-up is made up of the musicians, Arthur Schavinski (Drums), Luks Diesel (Keyboards), Bife (Bass) and newcomer Edu Lersh (Guitars).
